about the pica pica

              The pica pica
                        recycled jewellery

the pica pica (known as magpie) is a very specific bird with a great love to any shiny elements of our world, so do I

in polish, chinese and korean culture pica pica brings

luck
&
happiness

the pica pica likes and uses unusual materials and combinations. she digs the environment in the search for inspirations and natural way of matching ideas. the goal is always to give other pica picas opportunities to feel great and special, to feel the magic of composing.

the pica pica is most proud when giving second chances to things that have been already used and now they're abandoned. it just feels great to reuse them, to give them a new destination in existence, to make them look nice (see the pica pica postman and the pica pica rebitzi collections). however the pica pica makes sure that all materials used to make jewellery are high quality which, includes 925 sterling silver, black lava gemstones from mexico, rubber bands thrown away by post office and used cycling industry parts. all jewellery are designed and handmade at its own nest by the pica pica.

the pica pica is made by designer - gosia adamska gosia adamska finished University of Technology Wroclaw, Poland faculty architecture, spec. spatial planning in 2004. Since then she worked as an architectural assistant and a designer stuff in few practices in London incl. Levitt Bernstein and RTKL. she is very creative and versatile person who cares about details. she hates the fact that the market is filled with cheap, badly designed, and badly made stuff and this is why she decides to start making her own jewellery. jewellery which she design with love.
